Frequently Asked Questions

WHY ARE THERE DIFFERENT PRICE POINTS FOR THE SAME SERVICE?

Arch Brow Studio is a career based company. We have a tiered pricing system that allows our staff to be in charge of their own promotions. Each specialists price will reflect the demand of time they have earned on their services. In order to best service our guests, each staff member is required to complete advanced educational courses and will need to perfect their service timing before earning a promotion. This allows our staff to remain motivated to work and fully focus on their craft to deliver an exceptional guest experience. We understand that all beauty budgets will vary per person, we love that our tiered pricing system allows us to service everyone!

What is Microblading?

Microblading is the process of implanting pigment into the skin using a manual tool, placing individual strokes within the same direction of your existing hair to create a seamless natural look. Recommended for those with normal to dry young skin with already semi full brows. If you have oily skin, Microblading alone is NOT recommended for you.

What is Microshading?

Microshading is a combination of both Microblading and Microshading. We start by Microblading the eyebrows and then using Microshading, we will implant pigment into the skin using a machine. We will shade between the strokes we created with Microblading, createing the illusion of a wispy hair like look at the front of the brow, with a more filled in look through the middle of the brow to the tails. Recommended for those with oily skin, large pores and more mature skin. Microshading tends to last longer than Microblading alone.

What is Ombre Powder Brows?

Ombre Powder Brows is a technique that we use to add a color transition adding depth to the brows. We use a machine to create a soft illusion at the front of the brow and create more density throughout the arch and tails. This service is similar to our Microshading option but does not include the Microblading portion. If you are looking for a look that replicates hair, this option is not for you. Recommended for those with oily skin, large pores and more mature skin.

Which semi permanent treatment is for me?

Microblading is recommended for those who have normal to dry skin and go for the more natural every day look. Microshading and Ombre Powder Brows is recommended for those with oily skin, large pores, with more mature skin. Please note that neither of these services eliminate the need for brow products. Microshading tends to last longer than Microblading alone. If you are still unsure about which service to book, please schedule a consultation and we will assess your skin, as well as discuss your lifestyle, to decide which service will best suit your needs.

How long will my Microblading or Microshading last?

Microblading and Microshading are semi permanent which means it is designed to fade over time. Your skin type, skin care products you use, age, medications you take, the lifestyle you live and conditions you may have will determine the longevity of your brows. Properly following your at home care instructions plays a huge role in how long your brows last. Please note that based on all the factors listed above we can not guarantee how long your semi permanent cosmetics will last, however we do offer touch ups for 6, 12 and 18 months.

Which services are safe for pregnant women?

The only service that we offer that is recommended and safe during pregnancy is brow waxing - although your skin is more sensitive and prone to lifting. Chemicals used in services such as tinting, henna, lamination and lash lifts are not recommended for use when pregnant. Microblading and Microshading is NOT safe while pregnant.
